Does this sound like you?
“I get overwhelmed when I am given too many tasks at once”
“I need things to be given to me one at a time”
“I get discouraged when I see a list of things to do.”
“I need to know what the big picture is but then I need to have things broken down into bite size chunks”
“I want the whole list of things to do but then I need to be reminded of each step to take”
“I see the whole list of things to do, I do a few of them and then forget about the rest.”
“I need everything all at once because I’m going to hyper-focus and get it done right now”
“I need to know all of the tasks so that I can decide which order to them in”
“Don’t tell me what to do, I’ll figure it out on my own!”
Consider the Step-by-Step Plan:
You will receive a link to a task, when it’s complete, you will get the link to the next task.
You complete them at your own pace.
This is perfect for people who get overwhelmed when they are given a list of things to do.
Consider the Step-by-Step with Overview Plan:
You will receive a document with a list of the tasks and links to complete each one. You can work off of that document or wait for the tasks to be sent to you individually. You complete them at your own pace.
This is perfect for people who need to know everything involved and also want reminders about each step.
Consider the All-at-Once Plan:
You will receive a document with a list of the tasks and links to complete each one. You can work off of that document and complete them all in one day if you want or take your time.
This is perfect for people who hyper-focus and people who don’t like being told when to do things.
Here is what is involved:
We strive to ensure that your assessment process is as convenient and supportive as possible. Here's a detailed look at what you can expect:
Filling out demographic and background information, signing consent forms and making payments
These things are all done online from the convenience of your home and can be done at your own pace.
Online Assessments
For our combination ADHD and Autism testing, you will complete 10-11 online assessments. These assessments are similar to online quizzes you may have already encountered (https://embrace-autism.com/ has some that are similar, if you’ve done those then you’ll have a general idea of how the online assessments work). Depending on your responses, there may be additional assessments, but generally, there are around 10-12. The time needed for each one varies from 5 to 20 minutes. We've chosen the online format to minimize the time you need to spend meeting with us, allowing you to complete them comfortably from your own home.
Structured Interviews
You will participate in what we call "structured interviews," where you will meet with a therapist who will ask specific questions. We aim to make this as painless as possible, prioritizing your comfort. These interviews can be conducted online or in-person at our office. You are welcome to bring people or items that provide you with support during these sessions.
Minimum of Three Meetings
Your assessment process will include at least three meetings with our therapists, with more available if you need additional support. You'll meet with two different therapists, one male and one female. For combination ADHD/Autism testing, there will be three to four meetings:
MIDGAS and DIVA5 Interview: Meet with the first therapist to do the full interview. This meeting takes 1 to 2.5 hours and can be done online or in-person.
ADOS-2 Interview (optional: Advanced Evaluation only): This meeting takes about 1.5-2 hours.
Review Meeting: a review session with the other therapist to go over some of the interview and the assessments to validate findings. This meeting takes 1 hour and can be done online or in-person.
Final Meeting: Discussion of findings, reports, and diagnosis. This can be scheduled with the therapist you felt most comfortable with or the one that best fits your schedule. This meeting takes up to 1 hour and can be done online or in-person..
Self-Scheduling
We provide an online scheduling calendar that allows you to self-schedule your meetings at times that are convenient for you or we can schedule for you over the phone.
Package Options:
Essential Evaluation
$700
Perfect for those who need a straightforward confirmation, our Essential Evaluation includes comprehensive ADHD/Autism testing, “official diagnosis” and a two-page report. This abbreviated report provides a clear diagnosis and recommendations to help you move forward.
This package is best for those who just want to know.
Comprehensive Evaluation
$1000
For those wanting full reports and a deeper understanding of each of the assessment tests, our Comprehensive Evaluation includes the same thorough testing as the Essential Evaluation but with a detailed, multi-page report. This in-depth document extensively covers the scores of each of the assessments, your diagnosis and symptoms.
This package is a good option for those who want to present the report to other medical professionals who might need the results of the specific testing tools.
Advanced Evaluation
$1900
Our Advanced Evaluation is ideal for those who want the most extensive assessment that includes the ADOS-2 evaluation, a gold-standard tool widely recognized by medical professionals. This package is best for those who want to present the report to other medical professionals. However, we prefer using the MIGDAS-2 instrument for its sensitivity to neurodivergent and twice-exceptional experiences as well as inclusivity across all genders, races, and ethnicities. (see more about this on our FAQ page).
This package is best for those who who want to present the report to other medical professionals outside of the neurodivergent-affirming network.
Note: these evaluations are not covered by insurance
